Hydration in Summer
As the temperatures rise , hydration needs to be very important. Proper hydration prevents serious heat-related illnesses.. During the summer, when heat and dryness dominate, one needs to stay cool and hydrated.
Sip Room Temperature or Cool Water
It is best to drink water that is room temperature or slightly cool. Avoid ice-cold water as it can disturb the digestive AGNI . Sipping water throughout the day helps maintain hydration and supports digestion. It is important to drink at least 8-10 GLASS of water daily . Carry a water bottle wherever you go .
Add herbs to water
Adding water with cooling herbs such as mint, fennel seeds, or coriander seeds. These herbs enhance the flavor but also elivate cooling properties .
Consume and eat Fresh, Juicy Fruits
Include cooling fruits into your diet. Like Watermelon, cucumber, cantaloupe, and sweet grapes . These have a cooling effect on the body. Incorporate water-rich foods into your diet. Vegetables such as KHEERA , PATTA GOBHI , GHIYA etc. These foods not only provide hydration but also offer essential vitamins and minerals required by body .
Avoid food that dehydrate you
Limit intake of beverages , like coffee , tea and alchohol . If still you want to have , drink extra water .

Avoid Pungent, Salty, and Sour Foods
Pungent, salty, and sour foods increase the Pitta dosha and should be AVOIDEDduring the summer. Focus on sweet, bitter, and astringent tastes which are naturally cooling.
Stay cool
- Wear light clothes
- Stay indoors during peak hours .
- Stay cool baths
Hydra facials
You can do facials that rehydrate your skin like hydra facials and medi facials as it maintain glow of your face and fulfills the water content that your skin required .
Practice Shitali Pranayama (yoga technique)
Shitali Pranayama helps lower body temperature . It calm the mind. To practice, roll your tongue into a tube, inhale through the tongue, and exhale through the nose. Practice can be done a few times a day to stay cool and refreshed.
Eat at Regular Intervals
Eating at regular intervals to maintain digestive health and overall balance. Small, frequent meals with hydrating and cooling foods can help keep you hydrated and energized throughout the day.

Use Oils for Abhyanga (Self-Massage)
Giving a self-massage (abhyanga) with cooling oils such as coconut or sunflower oil can help reduce body heat. This practice also nourishes the skin and promotes relaxation.It should be done early morning or during night time .
Sleep Well
A good night’s sleep is requirement for balancing the Pitta dosha. Ensure your sleeping environment is cool, and consider sleeping with the windows open or using a fan to promote air circulation.
